I happen to be a big basketbal fan but that isn’t why I picked this to display. Rather I also greatly enjoy and appreciate people seeming to rise to a level, in any domain, that is just, well, spectacular. I suspect it evidences human potential. Yes, Such people are typically born with qualities that not everyone, and sometimes even not anyone else has. And that is already, I think, reason to enjoy. But I suspect that that isn’t the only thing at work. More often than not I think the baller, singer, dancer, thinker, or whatever also brings a level of focus and discipline to attain their level of greatness that is not out of reach of the rest of us. It is a guess, but a welcome one. At any rate, in this little film clip you see this basket ball player, actually small for the sport, do seemingly impossible things with regularity. It ain’t luck.
