Sabine is a very smart and very multi talented serious physicist as well as a kind of critic of the field. This article should, I hope, be interesting as well as entertaining, in that it shows that destructive dynamics that are quite common out in the rest of the world can invade the hard sciences and wreck havoc there too. I am pretty up on the field, etc., but I found her article quite compelling and interesting, even eye opening. She is always readable, or listenable. She has a large series of videos on YouTube worth a look, and they range widely from physics developments and controversies, to cold fusion, biology/gender, quantum computing, and so on.
