This is hands down one of the most educational and engaging political education sites I have found. Anonymously run, the site features powerful texts on a host of issues and topics organized by title sections such as “What is this America?”, “Voices from the Empire”, and “The Future is all We Have.” They have really interesting maps and charts on topics like “Military Dictatorships in the Americas (1830 to 2010” and “Everything* you ever wanted to know about U.S. foreign policy that history books tend to neglect.” Also, they have been working on an ambitious map on Latin America History (www.themapofbloodandfire.com)
I could go on and on about this website; I recommend it to most everyone I meet. Their recommendation sections features books, music, films, and documentaries (http://documentaryisneverneutral.com/examplesprime.html) that are top notch (http://www.historyisaweapon.com/hiawbooklist.html)
Also, check out these posters they have: http://www.historyisaweapon.com/posters.html
The site is also incredibly funny and I would love to meet the people who run it. Plus, they love Z (http://www.historyisaweapon.com/links.html)!
