Drivin’ into a city shouldn’t feel so lonely
But that’s what it’s like when all the homes are homely
Rundown, rugged, and rough
There’s no community
Stepped on, used, and abused by our economy
Invisible to America
but so essential
These people are the labor to the elite residential
But what do they get in return for their misfortunes?
Minimum wage, lack of health care, and no home to live in
While nobody stops to think that in the "land of the free"
That it’s just a bunch of rhetoric and means nothing for you or me
But we’ve been brainwashed ever since we were little
To believe that this is freedom and to step on other people
But there’s nothing less free
Than a capitalist society
With a government
Of a f***in fake democracy
This is a time in which
We can rise up n fight
Because all we want
Is respect for human rights
And this is not some strange ideology
This is the lifelong struggle of humanity
So, I look around at the people
and I notice one thing
That this is the epitome
of a racist society
Because most of these people are latinos and blacks
and the usual victims of all the corporate attacks
But that’s not to say that whites don’t get attacked
Because classism bleeds into all races in fact
And that’s why our government
Wants to hear none of that
Because just like back when
this country was founded
The rich were so scared of all the races unitin’
So they try to distract us
and pull us apart
But they’ll never win
And a revolution’s gotta start
