Bolivian chemist specialized in Environmental Science and Materials Science. I am a person who tries to live following some personal principles involving environmental concern and social welfare. As a consummate environmentalist I can no longer adopt the irrational overconsumption, waste generation and accumulation of natural resources as a way of life. I consider myself, at least at some extent,  a well informed scientist on Environmental Issues; I cannot deliberately ignore the impact of my personal Ecological Footprint, nor those of others. So I try so share the knowledge  and information I have about such facts,  although small, through several ways including the use of a personal blog which I try to keep up to date in spite of my personal academic/professional obligations. I have no political affiliation. However, as a Bolivian citizen, I am aware of the effects that the lack of social equality  and justice can have in the quality of life of people whose more elemental rights have been always denied. I am afraid that our wildly marketed present world has gone too far towards an extreme of the balance we need that we are compelled to create a response to control its negative effects on social and ecological welfare. It is logic to me that to reestablish the equilibrium we just need to choose to go in an opposite direction, which it seems to be, funnily enough, the left side of the balance where social and ecological welfare still exist.

CRITICAL ACTION

Critical Action is a longtime friend of Z and a music and storytelling project grounded in liberation, solidarity, and resistance to authoritarian power. Through music, narrative, and multimedia, the project engages the same political realities and movement traditions that guide and motivate Z’s work.

If this project resonates with you, you can learn more about it and find ways to support the work using the link below.

Independent media is not disappearing because the ideas are weak.

It is disappearing because platforms reward speed, outrage, and algorithmic visibility over thoughtful analysis.

More than 100,000 people read Z every month, free of paywalls, ads, and billionaire owners. It takes fewer than 1 in 100 of them to fund all of it: 1,000 donors who keep Z independent, for everyone, and build what comes next.
