    Flash Mob Demands Justice for Mike Brown During St. Louis Symphony

    Fans of theĀ St. Louis Symphony got quite a surprise over the weekend when a flash mob interrupted a performance on Saturday to demand justice for Mike Brown, the 18-year-old black man who was shot and killed by white police officer Darren Wilson in nearby Ferguson on August 9.

    Just as the conductor took the stage after intermission, a middle-aged black man sang, ā€œWhat side are you on, friend; what side are you on?ā€

    Acts of civil disobedience have continued in the St. Louis area, with local and national organizers planning several weeks of resistance through a project calledĀ Ferguson October.
