Léo Ferré was a poet, composer and performer famous for his chansons. He was also an avowed anarchist and socialist engaging in struggles and writing scathing critiques of the contemporary politics. The song Les anarchistes (The anarchists) was my first brush with his music and has left an imprint on me. It is also the last song he performed before his death.
