In the 60 months PRIOR to October 7, 2023, the Israeli Defense Force conducted scores of military operations in Gaza, killing 1,230 Palestinians, nearly all civilians, 40% of them children. That is, Israel inflicted an “October 7” size massacre on Palestinians before October 7—all to complete silence from Western media and leaders.

Instead, the universal pretense is that everything about Gaza began with Hamas’s attack on Israel last October, whose Israeli victims are endlessly commemorated. The equal number of Palestinians killed by Israelis in the months before are not seen as humans deserving of similar deploring.

Is there another explanation than crude racism?

The devaluation of everything Palestinian and grotesque official license for Israelis to break laws, commit violence and vandalism, and act in viciously bigoted fashion while officials and media reporters tar anyone who opposes them as “anti-Semitic” was repeated in microcosm in Amsterdam and Los Angeles, as in many other settings. Western media and leaders privilege Israelis as entitled not just to militarily attack neighboring Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria at will, but to engage in violently racist rampages anywhere in the world.

A mob of 200 weapons-brandishing soccer hooligans from Israel’s historically violent, racist Maccabi team rampaged through Amsterdam last week, tearing down and burning Palestinian flags, throwing rocks at houses and passersby, chanting obscene “death to Arabs” slogans, loudly celebrating the killings of Palestinian children, jeering and setting off fireworks during a moment of silence for Spanish flood victims, and smashing cab windows with chains and beating Arab-looking taxi drivers and other locals. Not surprisingly, the Israeli soccer thugs found themselves counterattacked by angry local mobs. “Amsterdam has the right to defend itself,” a Muslim commentator declared.

Similarly, a Los Angeles synagogue provided space last June for a property sale by a real estate agency that often profits from selling land in West Bank areas internationally recognized as illegally occupied. The land sale was explicitly restricted to Jewish buyers. The event thus flouted laws against racial discrimination and trafficking stolen property. Palestinian-rights groups showed up to protest the sale, counter-protesters arrived, and fights ensued. The only aggressive violence recorded in videos was instigated by pro-Irael and White supremacist thugs (a truly bizarre alliance also characterizing “Zionist” mobs who attacked UCLA Palestine rights students) chasing and attacking the protesters, calling them “sand niggers” while smirking LAPD cops stood by. One counter-protester was arrested for wielding a spiked flag weapon and others for beating a videographer, though the media refused to identify them as pro-Israel.

The official reaction in both cases, abetted by mainstream media, was so bizarre as to defy belief. Suddenly, thugs became victims. The Amsterdam residents countering Israeli soccer hooligans’ clearly videoed violence were accused by Dutch and other Western officials of an “anti-Semitic…pogrom” akin to the Holocaust and Kristallnacht. A video showing Israeli thugs with chains and sticks attacking a Dutch man were falsified by major media to make it appear the Israelis were the victims—a deliberate lie the videographer denounced.

Those protesting the illegal, racist sale of Palestinian property in Los Angeles were likewise demonized by officials from President Joe Biden, Mayor Karen Bass, and Governor Gavin Newsom to pundits Dana Bash, Jake Tapper, Van Jones, and others, as “anti-Semitic” harassers of innocently worshipping Jews, even though the protested event was not a religious service. None of this high-level venom had any relation to facts that were already clearly evident.

This is not a normal difference of perception or politics.

There is something about Israel that triggers irrationally racist, genocidal impulses in the brains of a wide range of Westerners, a savage gut-level rage invoked for no other country or culture–not even the United States. Widespread public desire in country after country for a Middle East cease-fire and an end to arming Israel is quashed by a near-unanimous psychological construct among Western leaders, media, and elites that demands slavish loyalty no matter what Israel and Israelis do.

From the Western media’s openly racist anti-Palestinian guidelines to refusal to quote Israeli leaders’ repeated affirmations of their genocidal intent to complete distortions of incidents to paint Israelis as innocent victims of Muslim savagery, the blatant lying carries an angry facts-be-damned tone that goes far beyond normal bias.

This is primitive, hypothalamic brutality. Just like the public, leaders and commentators can see and hear pro-Israel mobs violently attacking pro-Palestinian students, Dutch passersby, tearing down Palestinian flags, and shouting genocidal anti-Muslim obscenities. They can see the genocidal slaughters in Gaza and Lebanon. They can hear gleeful Israeli leaders openly gloating over inflicting genocide on Palestinians, including rape, torture, and slaughtering children.

Then, these leaders and elites lionize Israelis as innocent sufferers merely defending themselves. They frame all opponents of Israeli genocide, including the many Jews who oppose Zionism, as “anti-Semitic.”

There is something frighteningly wrong here. In any conflict involving Israelis, it doesn’t matter what actually happens, who was attacked, who suffered. Pro-Zionists, including presidents and prime ministers, routinely warp the Holocaust, Kristallnacht, “pogrom,” “blood libel,” and “anti-Semitism” to denounce anything they disagree with, grossly cheapening horrendous historical crimes to serve their sloppy hate speech.

Western officialdom and big media, without any sense of shame, openly accord only Israelis humanity. That 13 months later Israel still can’t produce a single documented rape victim of Hamas’s October 7 attack while numerous Palestinian rape and sexual torture victims of IDF have been videoed (and even proudly admitted to by their IDF rapists) will never lead Zionists like Harris, Hillary Clinton, Biden, Trump, et al. to show sympathy for real Palestinian victims comparable to speculated Israeli victims. They do not see Palestinians, men or women, as human. Israel is entitled to brutalize them as it chooses.

Blind racism by a near-unanimous cabal of Western leaders and mainstream media is creating a gathering disaster. The West will arm and defend Israel’s mass murder or expulsion of every Palestinian. Westerners will support Israeli theft of entire Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian territories with no discussion or dissent. We will ignite World War III to preserve a fanatically murderous Israeli state that expresses open contempt for Western leaders, one the global Jewish diaspora doesn’t even support.

This is too extreme.

Rationales like fear of powerful Israeli lobby opposition, traditional Beltway loyalties, generational politics, and global military strategies would be insufficient to explain leaders’ fanatical support for Israeli atrocities they know will be ranked as among history’s most appalling genocides.

The best of bad explanations is fundamental divergences in cognitive structures, a return to hierarchical racism. To Zionists, a dead Israeli is sacred; a dead Palestinian is not human. Israelis vilely ridiculing and attacking Arab-looking persons on streets or campuses is justified as self-defense against “animals,” and Zionists’ claims that they “feel” threatened by any hint of anti-Israel skepticism are elevated over protesters’ rights to free speech, safety, and educational participation.

What about Israel, and Israel alone, fosters such unreasoning, reptilian-brain support not just among a few extreme xenophobes, but across a broad Western political spectrum?

After all, Western societies, especially their conservative/Christian elements, have long histories of real anti-Semitism, from petty exclusions to violent “Jews will not replace us!” threats and synagogue shootings. Zionism has warped American politics, perhaps beyond repair. The 2024 presidential campaign was the most openly racist by both presidential nominees, nearly all in Congress, and media pundits across the spectrum of any in memory.

The Democratic Party refused to allow a Palestinian to address its convention, based solely on ethnicity. When has any major party so openly invoked racism? Harris and 2024 Democrats and Republicans (the latter vilifying a wide array of hate-targets) alike represent throwbacks to Bull Connor and Dixiecrat White supremacists.

The most crazed, homicidal Zionists outside of Israel itself are fundamentalist Christians, driven by Biblical prophecies forecasting the ultimate convert-or-be-righteously-massacred fate of all Jews in the end of days. How on earth did such faux-“religious” and related “clash-of-civilizations” apocalysms capture 80% to 90% of the ruling parties of entire Western nations, most brutally, the United States?

Understanding why Israel, and Israel alone, enshackles so many otherwise politically diverse ideological slaves blinded to basic humanitarianism is essential if this catastrophe is to be ended before even worse catastrophes ensue. Right now, finding reasons why today’s fanatical pro-Zionism so powerfully dominates Western powers remains daunting.
