If God too is an unseen thing potent

Like the Corona cell,

Why does He not a virus send—

Universally beneficial?

 

Or, did God the Corona send

To exact repentance

From a human race gone haywire

Among god-like pretensions?

 

But, if God knew nothing of

The Corona pestilence,,

Then God may be a bank we trust

With mistaken confidence.

 

Alas, our best bet may still reside

In human intelligence;

Pushing our own cerebral  cells

To breach God’s indifference.
