DonateIt is said that people get the sort of governments they deserve. Maybe we are also getting the type of planet we deserve. There has been a hell of a lot of publicity about the oil spill by BP in the Gulf of Mexico. Are people continuing to by BP petrol at the the pumps? Of course they are. What is even more worrying is that Shell is planning to drill in the Arctic in places of great natural beauty and abundant natural life. If Shell continues with these plans what would happen if consumers decided not to buy Shell petrol but to switch to some other brand (not BP), possibly to buy at the independent “service” stations.
We could also try the same approach when some companies get too greedy with their prices. Simply boycott these companies.
Do the consumer resistance movements still exist?
