The Anchorage Daily News has endorsed Barack Obama for president, a surprise to many of its readers – including my wife and me – given the ADN’s proclivity for its mostly pro-Palin sentiment.
But I’d bet on election day, even Alaska’s Palinistas will find themselves struggling with the notion of Palin a heartbeat away from prez.
The more the country sees of Alaska’s governor, the less they’ve liked. And now, that sentiment has boomeranged all the way back to AK.
In stark contrast toJohn McCain, judgment and temperament are keys Obama has possessed and showcased all along the course of his campaign. Keys that McCain cannot manufacture to unlock any sign of a campaign message other than race fear.
