Advice to Michael Moore on Domestic Violence

Yes, Michael, I’m sure that you are right. Those Democrats in Congress really do love you. Don’t worry. Those bruises and broken bones will heal, and you will be as good as new. Nobody will be able to tell, and that will make it all okay. No, really, I’m sure they love you despite losing control every once in a while. It wasn’t the real them; they didn’t mean it.

 

After all, don’t they always apologize and say that they love you. I saw it myself. Why, they even had tears in their eyes. They had to be telling the truth; they sounded so sincere. Yes, I believe they’re loyal, too. Before every election don’t they carry flower’s and make promises by the hour?

 

Hey, everybody makes mistakes. This time it’s different. They really, really mean it. They’ve changed. Only a cynic, or worse, a Democrat-hater who thinks all Democrats are alike could believe that they will revert to the same old behavior and betray you again. They are not going to act in their own selfish interests by representing their fellow elitists with whom they rub shoulders and who rent their services after buying their elections. No. They’re going to take your care of you because they love you and because they have changed.

 

I certainly agree with your approach to these kinds of people. You have to be careful so as not to ruffle their feathers and wound their fragile egos. Yes, ask them very nicely and politely with a petition if they please could be just a little more considerate of your feelings. Be sure to do that before the election while they’re still in a receptive mood and before they go out drinking with the boys again. And be sure that whatever you do, don’t call the cops or talk to the DA about prosecution or restraining orders. It will only make them mad, and you know what that means.
