    a) There is no doubt the election of Barack Obama is a watershed. An 8-year-long national nightmare is coming to an end. But there is a tremendous amount of damage to repair.So now that the election is over, the next fight begins.

    c) Two days after the election of Barack Obama, Iraq’s chief spokesman said with unusual forcefulness Thursday that his government will continue to insist on a firm withdrawal date for U.S. troops, despite American demands that any pullout be subject to prevailing security conditions.

    d) The US bombs another wedding in Afghanistan the day Obama gets elected, but the official this time said he’s sorry, so I guess that’s an improvement.

    e) From McClatchy: "A powerful new lobbying force is coming to town: Barack Obama’s triumphant army of 3.1 million Internet-linked donors and volunteers." The question is, will they lead Obama or will Obama lead them?
