In his ZNet article, – “Obama’s Hostility towards Venezuela” – May 5, 2013, Bill Fletcher is absolutely correct in saying how Obama has continued the hostility towards Venezuela, including Honduras. Ii is just the continuation of the same old destructive foreign policy of domination, manipulation, oppression, destabilization, sabotage, exploitation, and isolation. Nothing has changed. The US still wields an imperialistic foreign policy towards Latin America, viewing that region as its backyard. That is the underpinning of the Monroe Doctrine. Simon Bolivar, the liberator of South America warned about the grave implications and consequences, declaring that it would result in enormous suffering, misery, and exploitation of Latin America.
