Pablo Pozzi

Pablo Pozzi: Born 1953, Buenos Aires, Argentina. BA (Wesleyan University 1975), PhD (SUNY at Stony brook 1989). US History Chair and Full Prof. of History University of Buenos Aires. Research into Argentine and US Labor History, and into armed movements of the 1960s and 1970s. The above means that I am over-titled, underpaid, and also the best US Historian in Argentina... I am also the worst and the most mediocre one. In other words, I am the only historian of the U.S. in this country (this in spite of several grad students who are dogging my heels in spite of my best attempts to keep them down -- and preserve my monopoly). I have published a bunch of books and articles on the above subjects just about anywhere from Hungary and Poland to the US and England, and of course Latin America. This doesn`t mean that they are any good but, rather, that I work hard and that I got there first with a piece nobody else was doing at the time.

CRITICAL ACTION

Critical Action is a longtime friend of Z and a music and storytelling project grounded in liberation, solidarity, and resistance to authoritarian power. Through music, narrative, and multimedia, the project engages the same political realities and movement traditions that guide and motivate Z’s work.

If this project resonates with you, you can learn more about it and find ways to support the work using the link below.

Independent media is not disappearing because the ideas are weak.

It is disappearing because platforms reward speed, outrage, and algorithmic visibility over thoughtful analysis.

More than 100,000 people read Z every month, free of paywalls, ads, and billionaire owners. It takes fewer than 1 in 100 of them to fund all of it: 1,000 donors who keep Z independent, for everyone, and build what comes next.
