Kevin Danaher

Distinguished by his sense of humor and eloquence, Kevin Danaher is an exceptionally dynamic speaker. The New York Times calls him the "Paul Revere of globalization\'s woes."
As co-founder and Director of Public Education for the human rights organization Global Exchange, Dr. Danaher has spoken at universities and for community organizations throughout the U.S., encouraging people to expand their political vision and providing viable ideas for action. He also emphasizes that a renewed commitment to social justice and human rights are essential for eliminating terrorism.

A longtime critic of the so-called "free trade" agenda, Danaher explains how the U.S. must work harder than ever with other countries to reduce poverty and inequality if we want the cooperation of the world\'s people in ending terrorism.
Having traveled worldwide, Danaher is familiar with the problems and prospects of economic development in many Third World countries.

He conducts regular workshops on topics ranging from contrasting elite
globalization with people\'s globalization, to organizing to replace the corporate economy with a locally controlled, green economy.

Dr. Danaher is also the author and/or editor of 11 books, including Insurrection: Citizen Challenges to Corporate Power (with Jason Mark), Ten Reasons to Abolish the World Bank and the IMF," and his latest, Building the Green Economy: Success Stories from the Grassroots

CRITICAL ACTION

Critical Action is a longtime friend of Z and a music and storytelling project grounded in liberation, solidarity, and resistance to authoritarian power. Through music, narrative, and multimedia, the project engages the same political realities and movement traditions that guide and motivate Z’s work.

If this project resonates with you, you can learn more about it and find ways to support the work using the link below.

Independent media is not disappearing because the ideas are weak.

It is disappearing because platforms reward speed, outrage, and algorithmic visibility over thoughtful analysis.

More than 100,000 people read Z every month, free of paywalls, ads, and billionaire owners. It takes fewer than 1 in 100 of them to fund all of it: 1,000 donors who keep Z independent, for everyone, and build what comes next.
