Canadian human rights advocate volunteering with the International Solidarity Movement in Gaza. Eva was in Gaza before and during the 23 days of Israeli air, land, and sea attacks which killed over 1400 Palestinians and injured over 5000. During the attacks, Eva and other internationals volunteered with the Palestinian Red Crescent, in hopes of deterring further Israeli army fire on the ambulances and medics. Post-war-on Gaza tolls put at least 12 medics killed, 10s injured, and at least 30 ambulances shelled or shot.
