WHAT:
Palestinian community leaders and human rights experts will brief the press and public on the rapidly deteriorating situation in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. As global attention remains focused on Gaza, conditions in the West Bank have reached their most volatile point in years.
Speakers will share first-hand testimony from affected communities and explain the impact of the surge in settlement expansion, settler violence, forced displacement, and land confiscation – developments occurring with near-total impunity and contributing to an integrated system of coercion aimed at displacing Palestinians, advancing Israeli annexation, and further entrenching permanent Israeli control.
The briefing will also address the consequences of the ongoing lack of accountability for violations of international law and explain how developments in the West Bank relate to broader realities across the occupied Palestinian territory.
