On November 2nd, his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales releases his latest book Harmony, which he co-wrote with former Friends of the Earth director Tony Juniper:

We hear a lot about the royal family here in New Zealand. Most environmental activists here are aware that Prince Charles has been at the forefront of the ecological movement in for more than thirty years, as well as being an outspoken opponent of genetic engineering as a solution to world hunger.
The Prince’s new book is far more ambitious in its scope than his 2007 Elements of Organic Gardening:

In Harmony, Prince Charles speaks out for the first time on climate change, as well as the other looming catastrophes mankind faces – which he blames on years of modern industrialization that have caused mankind to abandon traditional practices. The book incorporate years of research and cites examples from his foreign travels to support this premise.
The Prince’s organic garden at Highgrove, his country home, is world famous and supplies retail grocery stories (except for his carrots – one grocery chain didn’t like the way they looked) as well as farmers markets.
In September the Prince opened the grounds of Clarence House, his London home for an eleven day eco-fair, featuring more than a hundred exhibits and booths by eco-friendly non-profits and businesses, as well as a variety of entertainers and a tour of the Prince’s London organic garden. His purpose in holding the open house was to help launch his Start initiative, to help people across Britain take small steps towards a more sustainable lifestyle.
