It was reported today that: “Oil prices have tumbled nearly 40 percent since peaking at $147.27 a barrel on July 11.”
Forty percent!
Four-Zero!
Mid-July also saw the peak of gasoline prices.
The national average was over $4.10. Now it is $3.63, which is a 12% decrease.
Gee, I wonder what is going on here. Oil companies blame the cost of oil but even when oil goes down 40% the cost of gas only goes down 12%
