George Burchett (born in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1955) is a Sydney-based artist. He co-edited "Memoirs of a Rebel Journalist, The Autobiography of Wilfred Burchett" (University of NSW Press, 2005) and "Rebel Journalism: The Writings of Wilfred Burchett" (Cambridge University Press, 2007). He is currently working on an exhibition about the 1965 coup in Indonesia that resulted in the massacre and incarceration of an estimated two million "communist sympathisers."
