Today I was able to speak to one of the (few) staff members of Z Network. She discussed her background, joining Z Network, its origin, how it has developed over the decades, approaching potential contentious issues in political circles, and a few other questions related to history and media/journalism. About: (From Z Network) Alexandria Shaner Originally from the US, Alexandria has lived most of her life in the Caribbean, as well as in Egypt and Nicaragua. A sailor, writer, organizer, and street medic, she has been involved in community organizing, media, and education for over 20 years. Alexandria is currently a staff member of ZNetwork.org and a writer for Extinction Rebellion. She is active with Caracol: Degrowth Ecosocialist Caucus of DSA, RealUtopia, & the Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network.
