This Left Forum panel proposes vision for what a future participatory society may look like while exploring real world examples in the US, Asia and Latin America, and the strategy and activism needed to take us there. It is inspired by the book Real Utopia: Participatory Society for the 21st Century (AK Press, May 2008) edited by Chris Spannos.

Brian Dominick has been organizing collectives in central New York and elsewhere for nearly fifteen years. He was co-founder of PeoplesNetWorks, the parecon organization that published The NewStandard from 2003 to 2007.
