On Thursday 29th May 2014 prominent and controversial speakers, Norman Finkelstein and Mouin Rabbani, spoke to Oxford University students in Moser Theatre of Wadham College. The talk was hosted by Barnaby Raine and this video has been produced by Abbas Kazmi.

In an extensive and fascinating discussion the speakers expressed their views on the Arab-Israeli Conflict and touched upon some of the proposed solutions that will be in their upcoming book. This was a free public lecture given to a full house of around 100 students after both speakers withdrew from addressing the Oxford Union Society.

Norman Finkelstein, a leading forensic scholar who has written widely on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Jewish affairs, is the author of the best-selling The Holocaust Industry. HIs most recent books are Knowing Too Much: Why the American Jewish Romance with Israel is Coming to an End, and Old Wine, Broken Bottle: Ari Shavit’s Promised Land.

Mouin Rabbani is a specialist analyst on Palestinian affairs and the Arab-Israeli conflict who has written and commented widely on these topics. He is Senior Fellow with the Institute for Palestine Studies and Co-Editor of Jadaliyya.
