There are seventy pictures here (and there are piles more) of random places around Glasgow. Most of them were taken in deserts awaiting the promise of development. The thing that is striking about these places, is the sheer disregard and destruction of the communities that get in the way of the so called, regeneration. Areas like Dalmarnock, (one of many) in the east end of Glasgow, have become non-areas of interest, in the city councils race to profit from the privatisation of our city, before the bubble inevitably bursts, while ignoring any real potential for a lasting, sustainable, dynamic, community. The lid of Pandora’s box has been wrenched off its hinges. There is no way this kind of ferocious development does taxpayers any good in the long run. it only attracts corporate sponges that will suck the place dry then move on. I hope we have the energy to survive it, if not the interest in stopping it
