Bolsonaro has declared

“God is Brazillian,”

When here we thought God to be

Hindu-Sanatan.

 

Does God speak in the Hebrew tongue,

Or does He speak in Greek?

Or, does he descant in Sanskrit,

Latin, Arabic?

 

Is God a polyglot,

And a democrat to boot?

Or do syllables of a dominant sound

His supremacy suit?

 

Alas, neither war, nor seminar

Has made a decisive break

To sort out the conundrum—

Time for God to speak?

 

If God be not a nationalist,

He better tell us why

In His name the nationalists

Our human kidneys fry.
