Lady Justice is not blind.

Rest assured, she is not blind.

Well, maybe in one eye but not the other.

My hypothesis for suggesting this is how her justice varies depending on the victims.

When the victims are the poor or taxpayers then Lady Justice will ignore the crime, but if the victims are wealthy investors then Hell is no match with her fury.

For example, meet Lou Pearlman, the man behind some of the most popular boy bands. Yesterday he was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for bilking some $300 million from investors in a Ponzi scheme that spanned more than 25 years.

Cross examine this with the over $9 billion in unaccounted for funds that were given to the Iraqi government-under-occupation, the $3.2 billion in KBR funds that Pentagon auditors said were “questionable,” the over $1 billion in lost equipment and the $400 million that is being spent every day on this illegal war, this act of aggression.

None of these criminals have been brought forth to meet Lady Justice. Apparently she turns a blind eye to their misdeeds.

This barely scratches the many other effects of this illegal war: Their dead, their injured, their refugees, their suffering with increased birth defects and cancer rates, their unemployment, their post-traumatic stress disorder.
